Did you know the B Corp Standards are currently going through some major changes 👀?

The B Corp certification will move from a scored process where companies had flexibility in how to achieve an 80 score, to a new framework where all businesses must meet specific requirements across 9 Impact Topics. Consultation is ongoing, and it won’t be until 2025 before companies will certify or recertify on the new standards.

All B Corps will need to have processes in place to effectively management their impact across each topic. This will include:

·       Establishing oversight and accountability for impact management
·       Embedding impact management into organisational strategies
·       Understanding potential impacts from the business
·       Measure, assessing and valuing impact
·       Setting targets and planning implementation and delivery
·       Rolling out actions to management impact, and tracking implementation over time 
·       Publicly disclosing performance and plans to stakeholders
